A music video
Waking Up
What will it take for us to remember what we have known forever more?
A song made by many, and a music video of everything it brings up. Also a campaign, and a building block for The Story of Us.
A collaborative work in progressThe Human Alignment Experiment
It puts the question to music, with everyone in it.
What it is
The video
Everything the song brings up.
People everywhere add what they see in it. One thread running through: faces, human and animal, one after another, the eyes in one place, sameness and difference at once.
Every face will be real, and given with consent.

The song
What will it take for us to remember
What we have known forever more
What will it take for us to realize
What has been true for us all along
And what will it take for us to turn this thing around
And what will it take for us to survive
And what if we are finding that there is only one way out
Will we wake up on time
If we are treating each other
Like we were the other
Then we are missing the mirrors that we are
To one another
You and me every creature you see
Above the land and under the sea
Even the stars and invisible matter
We are part of this one infinity
Now is the time for us to commit
To act and to speak and even to think
Remembering we are one, Everyone
If there's so many of us then why are we so lonely
It seems the more that we are the better we hide
Will you come out of your shell
And let's together break this spell
I commit to the greater whole I'm a part of
Made by many
Many voices, many faces.
Musicians, producers and DJs shape the music. People everywhere add their faces. Each one is designed to stay connected to the person who gave it.
One piece, many lives
A song that keeps going.
Released as a music video. Cut down, it runs as a campaign. Inside The Story of Us, it can become a building block.
