Identity, data and credit
You are one person here with as many ways in as you like, everything you give stays yours to see, take and withdraw, and every word and work carries who made it wherever it goes.
How identity works on EVERYONE, how your data stays yours, how credit and provenance travel with the work, and what EVERYONE never takes. It is part of the Terms and the Privacy policy.
Preliminary, 27 October 2026. This is how EVERYONE works today and the agreement it proposes. It takes effect when it is final and this mark is gone.
Updated 27 October 2026
One person, many ways inFormingSign in with an email code or an account you already use, link as many as you like, and you are always the same person here.
You sign in to EVERYONE with a code sent to your email, or with an account you already use: Google, and through EVERYONE sign-in, other accounts such as Microsoft, LinkedIn, GitHub or X. However you come in, you are one person here. You can link more ways from your room, and remove any of them, and each one leads to the same you, the same room and the same record.
EVERYONE sign-in is EVERYONE's own: the record of who you are and every way you have linked lives in EVERYONE's own store, under EVERYONE's own keys. The services that confirm a sign-in are replaceable, and replacing one would never cost you your room or your record.
Forming Signing in with the email code and Google is working today. The other accounts, linking several ways to one person, and an invitation that opens whichever linked way you use, are built and being switched on.
What EVERYONE holds about who you are, and what it does notFormingYour email, your first name, the ways you linked and what you were given. Never a password, never another service's access keys, never an identity document.
Held
- your email address and first name;
- each way you linked, as a keyed fingerprint, and for another service's account a confirmation that you control it;
- who invited you, and whom you invited;
- your level, any roles, and each thing given to you, with who gave it and when.
Never held
- a password: there is none to hold;
- another service's access keys, once the sign-in is confirmed;
- identity documents, card numbers, or the invitation and connection links themselves, which are kept only as fingerprints.
Forming Proving you are a unique real person, without showing who you are, is being added to EVERYONE sign-in. It will be asked only where it is needed (one person, one voice), and never to take part.
What opens to whomFour levels (the public, members, partners, the core team), things given one at a time, links that end, and every change recorded.
Signed out, you are the public and see the open pages. Signed in, you are a member. The core team can open more to a person as a partner, give one thing to one person, or make a link that opens one thing for a set time, from a day to ninety days, and turn it off. Nothing widens unless someone with the right to widen it does, and each change is recorded with who made it and when.
A role (maker, author, creator, partner) says how a person takes part, and opens nothing on its own beyond its level. What each person sees is chosen from what they did, said or were given, never from a category assigned to them.
What a proof isFormingA stamp that lets anyone holding a record check it existed at a moment, unchanged, and by whom, without revealing what is in it.
A proof is a stamp on a record. Anyone who holds the original record can check against the proof that it existed at that moment, that it has not changed since, and which account stamped it. The proof itself carries fingerprints, never the record's words, your email or your name.
EVERYONE makes proofs of the moments that matter for trust: an agreement you made, an invitation opened (who brought whom), a yes to a shared text, a change to who may see what, and decisions about what is shown. An agent's identity, and the list of what it may do, is a proof too.
Proofs are kept private. You can ask for the proofs that concern you.
Forming Proofs of agreements and invitations are issued today, by the core team. Proofs made automatically, for decisions about content, and a page where you see your own, are forming.
Your data stays yoursFormingYou can see what EVERYONE holds about you, take it with you, correct it, choose how far it reaches, withdraw it and delete it.
Everything you say and make is yours. EVERYONE holds it to run the network and keep the record whole, uses it only in the ways the Privacy policy sets out and the ways you chose, and never sells it.
- See it: your record, in plain words: how you signed in, what you gave and the credit for it, the consent you gave, who brought you and whom you brought.
- Take it: everything kept in your name, as one file in an open format: signed in, choose Download yours at the foot of any page, up to ten times a day.
- Choose its reach: within EVERYONE, with partners, or public, for each thing you give.
- Withdraw it: any piece, any words, any consent; it comes out of every view.
- Delete it: your personal data, as the Privacy policy describes.
Forming Today the copy is yours to download, and the rest is done for you by a person: ask through E1, in your room, or at core@everyone.team. The page that shows your own record in plain words, with the withdraw button, is being built.
Leaving with what is yoursWith counselFormingYour record, your identity and the people who chose to follow your work leave with you.
You can leave at any time. You take with you your record, everything you made, and your relationship with the people who chose to stay in touch with your work: you can see who chose to, export that list and write to them directly. That relationship belongs to you and to them.
You can leave at any time, without charge, and leaving is never held against you. The credits for what you chose to leave in stay on the record, with your name as you chose.
Forming Staying in touch with a maker is designed and being built, with the consent each person gives first.
Who said or made what, and whenEvery word and every work carries who made it, when, and under what consent, in a record that is only ever added to.
Every contribution on EVERYONE carries who made it, when, where, and the consent they gave for it. Nothing enters the record from a person until they have seen their exact words and said yes, and nothing reaches further than that yes.
The record is only ever added to. A replaced version is kept and marked as replaced; a withdrawn piece leaves a dated marker holding none of it. So anyone can see how a text came to be, and who shaped it.
A quote is the speaker's exact words, with where they said them. No person and no agent credits a line to someone who did not say it. Where AI helped make something, that is said.
Credit that travels with the workFormingCredits only grow, and when a piece goes anywhere else, who made it goes with it.
When your words or your work enter something else (a shared text, a living work, a call's work), the credits name you, as you chose. Credits only grow: a missing maker is added, and a wrong credit is marked corrected, with the correction pointing to the one before.
When EVERYONE shares a piece on other platforms, the credits go with it in writing, with a link to a page that shows who made it and under what consent.
Forming The page behind that link, and credentials written into the files themselves, are designed and being built.
Whoever makes or connects something stays attached to it wherever it travels. That is how EVERYONE intends the value a piece creates to find its way back to the people who made it, under written terms before any money moves.
Agents, and who is speakingFormingEvery agent has its own identity and a written list of what it may do, speaks as itself, and never speaks for a person.
Each agent on EVERYONE (E1, the guides, the agents that read for the guardrails) speaks as itself and is always marked as an agent.
Forming Each agent is being given its own identity and a written, checkable list of what it may and may not do, which anyone it acts for can check. The first agents already have them; E1 and the guides are next.
No agent speaks for a person or puts words in anyone's mouth. An agent acting for you does only what you allowed, and what it does is recorded as the agent's, acting for you.
What EVERYONE never takesYour attention, your data, your work, your audience and your way out all stay yours.
- Joining is free, and nobody pays to be seen.
- Your data is never sold, and never used for advertising; there are no tracking cookies.
- Your work stays yours, licensed only for the uses you choose, and withdrawable.
- Your audience stays yours: the people who chose to follow your work belong to that relationship.
- Nobody is paid for recruiting, and credit for bringing people carries no payment.
- Your way out is always open: you can leave with your record, your identity and your audience, at no cost.
- No single company holds your record hostage: every service EVERYONE runs on is replaceable, and your record and identity live in EVERYONE's own store, so they outlast any one of them.
Success here is measured by the value people make and keep. Time spent and attention captured are never the measure.
If EVERYONE changes or endsWith counselThe promises on this page go with EVERYONE wherever it goes, and if it ever closes you get 90 days to take what is yours.
If EVERYONE passes the network to another entity, including a foundation, these promises about your identity, your data, your work and your credit go with it, and you are told first.
If the network ever closes, you are told at least 90 days before and given a way to take your record, everything you made and the list of people who chose to stay in touch with you.
The record is kept so it can outlive any one service: copied every night, and held in open formats that do not depend on any one company.
