The fine print

Terms of use

What you make stays yours, what you give you can take back, nothing is promised that is not written down, and everyone here plays by the same guardrails.

These are the terms between you and EVERYONE LLC for everything on everyone.team. Each section opens with one line, and the full text beneath it is the agreement. Privacy, What belongs here and Identity, data and credit are part of these terms.

Preliminary, 27 October 2026. This is how EVERYONE works today and the agreement it proposes. It takes effect when it is final and this mark is gone.

Updated 27 October 2026

The agreementWith counselThese terms are an agreement between you and EVERYONE LLC, and the plain words here are the binding words.

EVERYONE LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“EVERYONE”), runs the EVERYONE Network at everyone.team and every part of it: the network's pages, the rooms and their guides, E1, the channels, the living editions, the calls, the commons and the tools that serve them. These terms apply to everyone who uses any of it, signed in or not.

By using EVERYONE you agree to these terms. When you sign in, join a room, bring something or agree to a room's own terms, EVERYONE records the date, the time and the exact text you agreed to, and you can ask for a copy at any time.

Some parts carry their own terms as well: a room that asks you to keep things in confidence, a call's fine print, the agreement for a living edition, any written agreement about money. Where those are more specific, they govern that part.

These words are written to be read. The one-line summary at the top of each section helps you find your way; the full text beneath it is the agreement. When E1, a guide or a person explains a part, the explanation helps you read it, and the written words are what count.

Who can use EVERYONEWith counselYou must be 18 or older, use your own identity, and have the right to agree to these terms.

You must be at least 18 years old to have an account, sign in, bring anything or take part in a call. Reading the open pages needs no account.

You use EVERYONE as yourself, with one identity. If you use EVERYONE on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you may agree to these terms for it, and these terms bind it too.

You may not use EVERYONE if the law where you are forbids it, or if EVERYONE has closed your account and has not opened it again.

Joining, invitations and accessWith counselFormingJoining is free and open to anyone 18 or older. What each person can open grows as they take part.

Joining EVERYONE is free. Nobody pays to join, and nobody is paid for bringing people.

Anyone 18 or older joins by signing in. A person can also come by an invitation: a personal invitation is a link made by someone already here for one person, open for a set number of days: keep it to yourself. The core team can also open a link for a campaign, which anyone holding it can use until a set day, up to a set number of people. A person already on record signs in as before.

Forming Sharing something on the network with a person who is not here yet will reach them as an invitation to it.

What you can open depends on your level: the public sees the open pages; anyone signed in is a member; the core team can open more to a person as a partner, or give one thing to one person or to one link for a set time. Each grant and each change is recorded.

EVERYONE records who invited whom. It is how credit follows connection: you can ask to see your part of it, the core team sees it, and it carries no payment of any kind.

Signing in and your accountSign in with an email code or an account you already use, keep it safe, and tell EVERYONE if something looks wrong.

You sign in with a code sent to your email or with an account you already use. EVERYONE never asks for or keeps a password. Identity, data and credit explains how sign-in works and what it keeps.

Keep access to your email and your other accounts safe; anyone who controls them can sign in as you. If you think someone else has used your account, write to core@everyone.team at once.

Your account is yours alone: it may not be sold, lent or transferred. You are responsible for what is done through it, unless it was used without your permission and you told EVERYONE promptly.

The guides and E1With counselThe guides and E1 are AI. They can be wrong, they never speak for a person, and what you say to them is kept.

A guide is an AI in a room; E1 is EVERYONE's agent on the network's pages. Both answer from what the room or the page holds, and both speak as themselves. Neither speaks for any person, and neither puts words in anyone's mouth. When a person on the core team writes to you, their words are marked as theirs.

They can be wrong. What they say is for conversation, reflection and finding your way. It is never legal, financial, medical or other professional advice, and never a promise from EVERYONE or from any person.

Every word you say to a guide or to E1 is kept, before the answer comes, with the page you were on. Privacy says what is kept, who reads it and how long it stays.

What is yoursWith counselFormingWhat you make and say stays yours. EVERYONE may use it only in the ways you choose, and you can withdraw it.

You keep ownership of everything you make and say on EVERYONE, and every right in it that you do not choose to grant. Your name stays on it, as you choose: your name, a name you use here, or none.

When you bring something, you choose what EVERYONE may do with it, each as a separate yes: link to it where it already lives; show it through its own platform's player; host a copy; share it on EVERYONE's own channels elsewhere, with your credit. For each yes, you give EVERYONE LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to do that and only that, while you leave it in, together with what is needed to do it: the copies the service needs to run, captions and translations you approve, and the record of what you gave and when.

For words (a note, a reaction, a view, an answer to a call, a line offered to a shared text) you choose how far they reach: within EVERYONE, with partners, or public. They never reach further than you chose. You see your exact words and say yes before anything is kept as a contribution.

When the lead of a project accepts a suggestion of yours into a shared work, your words enter that work with your name in its credits, and you give the lead and EVERYONE a license to keep them in that work and its later versions.

Withdrawing. You can withdraw any piece, any words or any yes at any time. From then on it comes out of every view on EVERYONE, the license ends, and EVERYONE removes what it posted on its own channels elsewhere. A dated marker stays to show that something was withdrawn, holding none of it. Copies other people made under the reach you chose, and words already accepted into a finished work, stay as they are.

AI training. Nothing you bring or say is used to train an AI model unless you give a separate yes to that, for that piece, after being told exactly what it means.

Your promises. You bring only what you made or hold the rights to share as you chose. Everyone recognizable in it agreed to be in it and to it reaching as far as you chose. Nobody in it is under 18 unless a parent or guardian agreed in writing. You say honestly whether AI helped make it. Nothing in it is unlawful.

Forming The withdraw button and the page showing everything you gave are being built. Today, ask in your room, through E1, or at core@everyone.team, and it is done for you.

What is EVERYONE'sWith counselEVERYONE LLC owns only what it makes itself: the platform and its code, its agents, its name and marks, and its own works. Read them, share links, quote with credit; ask before more.

What people make and bring stays theirs, as What is yours says; for it, EVERYONE holds only the licenses its maker chose. What EVERYONE LLC owns is what it makes itself: the platform and its code, the guides, E1 and the instructions they follow, the shared record of ideas and the pages built from it, the EVERYONE name, the E1 mark and EVERYONE's other marks, and EVERYONE's own works, including the book, the films and the writing on the site.

You are welcome to read, watch and listen, to share links, to talk about all of it, and to quote it with credit for commentary, teaching, criticism and reporting. To copy, publish, sell, adapt or train an AI model on EVERYONE's own works, ask first at core@everyone.team.

Work that makers bring belongs to those makers, and their own terms come first.

Taking partWith counselEveryone here plays by the same guardrails. Breaking the floor means a piece comes down or an account closes.

What belongs here is part of these terms: what is never accepted, what belongs, who decides, how you are heard and how decisions can be questioned. In using EVERYONE you agree:

  • to treat everyone here as a teammate, across every line that divides people;
  • to stay within what is never accepted, everywhere on EVERYONE and in what you ask any agent to do;
  • to bring only what you made or hold the rights to share, and to credit everyone who made it;
  • to be honest about who made something and whether AI helped;
  • to keep in confidence what a room asks you to keep;
  • to leave the network working: no scraping, no breaking in, no automated or fake accounts, no flooding, and no getting around limits;
  • never to use EVERYONE for anything unlawful.

Review, decisions and appealsWith counselA person approves what is shown, explains any decision in writing, and anyone affected can appeal.

What you bring to EVERYONE's own channel, a call or a public page is read by a person, with agents helping, and approved before it is shown. A piece you bring to a channel's or an organization's home, with your consent, shows to the people that home is open to, and its owner and the core team can take it down. A decision to decline, narrow, remove or limit comes with the reasons and the way to ask again, as What belongs here sets out. Appeals are described there.

EVERYONE decides what it shows and may decline anything that does not fit the guardrails or the place it was brought to. Approving something to be shown is a decision about fit with the guardrails and the place; it never makes EVERYONE the author of it or vouch for every claim in it.

Link to this section

Rights notices and taking things downWith counselAnyone who believes something here infringes their rights or shows them without consent can ask for it to come down, and the person who brought it can answer.

Copyright. If you believe something on EVERYONE infringes your copyright, send a notice to core@everyone.team with the subject Rights notice, including: your name and how to reach you; the work you say is infringed; where the material is on EVERYONE, by its address; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature. EVERYONE takes the material down promptly and tells the person who brought it.

Counter notice. If something of yours was taken down and you believe it was a mistake or that you have the right to share it, send a counter notice to the same address with: your name, address and phone number; the material and where it was; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, outside the United States, any judicial district where EVERYONE may be found) and to accept service from the person who sent the notice; and your signature. EVERYONE passes it to the person who sent the notice and restores the material after 10 to 14 business days unless they tell EVERYONE they have gone to court.

Repeat infringement. EVERYONE closes the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe others' rights.

Intimate images. A request to remove an intimate image of you shared without your consent, real or made with AI, is acted on within 48 hours of a valid request, and every copy EVERYONE knows of is removed. Write to core@everyone.team with the subject Remove an image, or tell E1.

Your privacy and likeness. If you are shown without your agreement, or your private information appears, ask through the same address and it comes down while it is looked at.

A maker's wishes. A maker who never brought their own work here can ask for it to be removed or credited differently, and the maker's request wins over anyone else's suggestion of it.

Rooms held in confidenceSome rooms share private work and ask you to keep it in confidence first. What you agree to is recorded word for word.

Some rooms share things that are still private: work in progress, plans, the people and organizations EVERYONE works with. Before such a room opens, it shows you its agreement. When you choose I agree, your name, the date and time and the exact text are recorded; if the text changes, the room asks you again. You can ask for a copy at any time.

What a room asks you to keep, you keep: you do not share it, copy it out or pass it to an AI tool outside EVERYONE without the room's permission. The room's own agreement says for how long.

Agents acting for youFormingAn agent can act for you only with the permissions you give it, its actions are recorded as an agent's, and you answer for what you ask it to do.

Every agent on EVERYONE speaks as itself and is marked as an agent. An agent acting for a person acts only within what that person allowed, and what it does is recorded as the agent's, acting for them.

Forming Each agent is being given its own identity and a written, checkable list of what it may and may not do; the first agents already have them.

If you connect an agent of your own to EVERYONE, you answer for what you ask it to do, as if you did it yourself, and it follows these terms and the guardrails. EVERYONE may limit or switch off an agent's access to protect people or the network, and tells you why.

Forming Connecting your own agent is open to the core team today and is forming for members.

Money and paid thingsWith counselNothing here promises anyone money. Anything paid comes with its price and its own written terms before anyone pays.

Nothing in these terms promises you payment, a share, earnings, a grant or a sale. EVERYONE intends the value a piece creates to return to the people who made it, and any fee, share, payout or purchase comes with its own written terms, reviewed by counsel, before any money moves.

Where you buy something (team wear, a membership level, a piece from a maker), its price, what it includes, how to cancel and how refunds work are shown before you pay. Payments go through licensed payment providers; EVERYONE never sees or keeps card numbers.

When you back a call, you pay the makers directly under the call's own terms. Nobody is paid for joining or for bringing people.

Other platforms and linksA piece that plays from another platform follows that platform's terms there, and links lead to places EVERYONE does not run.

Many pieces on EVERYONE stay where their makers put them and play through that platform's own player when you press play. That platform's terms and privacy practices apply to what happens in its player.

Links to other sites are given as a help. EVERYONE does not run those sites and is not responsible for them.

Suggestions about EVERYONE itselfIdeas for improving EVERYONE are welcome. They are kept with your name, and if one is used, the credit stays yours.

When you suggest how EVERYONE itself could work better (a feature, a rule, a word), EVERYONE may use the suggestion to improve the network, without owing payment for it. The suggestion is kept with your name, and if it shapes what is built, the credit is recorded as yours. Nobody is obliged to use a suggestion, and the idea stays yours to use anywhere else.

Leaving, and when EVERYONE ends an accountYou can leave at any time and take your record with you. EVERYONE closes an account only for a serious or repeated breach, and says why.

You can stop using EVERYONE at any time, close your account, and ask for your record and for what you gave to be withdrawn. On leaving you receive a copy of your record; credits for what you chose to leave in stay on the record.

EVERYONE may pause or close an account that breaks these terms or the guardrails, following the steps in When something is declined or removed: it tells you what and why, unless the law or someone's safety prevents it, and you can appeal. Before closing an account for anything short of serious harm, EVERYONE warns first.

If EVERYONE closes your account, you can still ask for a copy of your own record and for what you gave to be withdrawn.

The sections on what is yours, what is EVERYONE's, the limits on liability, responsibility for claims and disagreements stay in effect after an account closes.

What EVERYONE promises, and what it does notWith counselEVERYONE is built in the open, part by part. It promises to say what works and what is forming, and offers the network as it is.

EVERYONE is building the network in the open. Its pages say which parts are working and which are forming, and it describes nothing as working before it works. Parts change, and some may stop; when a part you use is closing, EVERYONE tells you first and lets you take what is yours from it.

Beyond what these terms say and what the law requires, EVERYONE is offered as it is and as it is available, without other warranties of any kind, including that it will always be available, free of errors or fit for a particular purpose. Some places do not allow some of these exclusions, and where they do not, they do not apply to you.

Link to this section

Limits on liabilityWith counselEVERYONE answers for what it does, within fair limits, and never limits what the law says it cannot.

As far as the law allows, EVERYONE LLC is not liable to you for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of EVERYONE.

As far as the law allows, EVERYONE's total liability to you for all claims about EVERYONE is limited to the greater of what you paid EVERYONE in the 12 months before the claim and US$100.

These limits do not apply to death or personal injury caused by negligence, to fraud, to gross negligence or wilful misconduct, to EVERYONE's misuse of your personal data, or to anything else the law where you live does not allow to be limited.

Link to this section

Responsibility for claimsWith counselIf someone brings a claim because of what you brought or did here in breach of these terms, you answer for it; EVERYONE answers for its own acts.

If a third party brings a claim against EVERYONE because something you brought infringed their rights, or because you broke these terms or the law on EVERYONE, you will cover EVERYONE's reasonable costs of that claim, including reasonable legal fees, to the extent the claim was caused by you. EVERYONE will tell you promptly about such a claim, let you take part in answering it, and settle nothing that admits fault for you without your agreement.

This never covers claims caused by EVERYONE's own acts or decisions.

If something goes wrongWith counselWrite first; a person reads it. If it is not settled in 60 days, small claims court or the courts of Delaware, and the rights your own law gives you stay yours.

If something goes wrong, write to core@everyone.team first with what happened and what you would like done. A person reads it and answers. Both sides try in good faith to settle it within 60 days before going further.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, apart from their rules about which law applies. If a dispute is not settled, either side may take it to a small claims court where it qualifies; otherwise it goes to the state or federal courts in Delaware.

Nothing in these terms takes away a right that the law where you live gives you and does not allow you to give up, including the right to bring a claim in your own courts where that law provides it.

Link to this section

Changes to these termsChanges are dated and shown before they apply, at least 30 days ahead for anything that matters, and anything affecting what you gave asks you again.

When these terms change, the date at the top changes, and EVERYONE shows you what changed before it applies: at least 30 days before for a change that affects your rights, unless the law or someone's safety needs it sooner. A change that affects what you have already given, or what EVERYONE may do with it, applies to it only if you agree again.

Every version of these terms is kept, so you can read the one you agreed to.

If you do not accept a change, you can stop using EVERYONE and take your record and what you gave with you before it applies.

Link to this section

GeneralWith counselThe usual rules about how an agreement holds together, with one more: EVERYONE's promises about your data and work travel with it.

The whole agreement. These terms, with the pages they name and any part's own terms, are the whole agreement between you and EVERYONE about the network.

If EVERYONE moves. EVERYONE may transfer these terms to an entity that carries on the network, including a foundation, and tells you first. Its promises about your data, your work, your credit and your right to leave go with them. You may not transfer your account or these terms.

If EVERYONE closes. If the network closes, EVERYONE tells you at least 90 days before and gives you a way to take your record and what you gave.

If a part does not hold. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, that part is changed as little as needed to make it enforceable, and the rest stands.

Waiting is not waiving. If EVERYONE does not enforce a part right away, it can still enforce it later.

Beyond control. Neither side is responsible for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.

The law of where you are. You use EVERYONE in line with the laws that apply to you, including sanctions and export rules.

Notices. EVERYONE sends notices to the email on your account, or shows them when you next sign in; you agree to receive them that way. You send notices to core@everyone.team.

Nobody else. These terms are between you and EVERYONE; nobody else gains rights under them.

Language. Where these terms are shown in another language, the English text governs.
