An idea in development
The portal
People in one city, talking with people in another.
A place in a city where we walk up and find ourselves face to face with whoever is standing at the same place somewhere else. It would stand alongside the monument.
An idea in developmentThe Human Alignment Experiment
Two cities, face to face, finding what they agree on.
What it is
Linked, it makes the idea happen.
Stand at one in Mexico City and meet someone in New York, or Lagos, or Mumbai. Interconnection, illustrated by doing it.
What we imagine.
Presence
Light, sound and pulse shared between sites, so standing at one we feel the others.
Live connection
Audio and video between the people standing at each.
Stories
What people share can become part of the experiment, with their consent.
Care
Hosts and moderation from the first day, as with any public, connected space.
The form has a history.
Since 2014, Shared_Studios' Portals have linked strangers in more than 40 cities. Here a conversation could also feed what we are finding out together.
