What belongs here, and who decides
Everyone is welcome here. What appears is held to guardrails anyone can read, every decision leaves a record, and the guardrails grow through the same open deliberation as the alignment campaign.
Every network decides what it carries. Here that decision is part of the work itself, held in the open: what belongs today, who decides now, how anyone can be heard, how a decision can be questioned, and how the guardrails change.
The guardrails will never be finished. Working them out together is part of The Human Alignment Experiment: finding what we all share, and acting on it as one team.
Preliminary, 27 October 2026. This is how EVERYONE works today and the agreement it proposes. It takes effect when it is final and this mark is gone.

What holds today
Eight principles every decision here answers to.
Everyone is welcome; conduct and content are what get decidedNobody is turned away for who they are or what they believe. What gets decided is what a person does here and what they bring.
Everyone means actual everyone: every faith and none, every politics, every country, every income, the hopeful and the exhausted. Nobody is turned away for who they are, what they believe, whom they vote for or where they come from.
What gets decided is conduct and content: what a person does here, and what they bring to be shown. A decision is always about a piece or an act, and is never a verdict on a person's worth.
Disagreement belongs here. The case at the center of EVERYONE is built to be argued with, broken and made better, and arguments that fail are kept on purpose. A piece does not have to agree with EVERYONE to belong. What sits outside is the conduct described under What is never accepted: harm, contempt for people, deception and taking what belongs to others.
Protection first, with the least force that worksWhere someone could be hurt, protecting them comes first, using the lightest response that actually protects.
Where a person could be hurt, protecting them comes before every other consideration, including reach, growth and anyone's wish to be heard.
The response is the lightest one that actually protects: asking for a change before declining, narrowing who sees something before removing it, a pause before a closing. When a child is at risk, or someone faces serious harm, EVERYONE acts at once and asks questions afterwards.
The door stays open to the person. Anyone, on any side of anything, can start playing differently, and can come back when they do.
Who made it stays attached to itEvery piece carries who made it, who brought it and who shaped it, and that credit only grows.
Everything shown carries its makers, as they chose to be named, and who brought it in. Credit is added and corrected and is never taken away.
Bringing something you did not make, or have no right to share, is the most common way a piece is declined here. Pointing to a public piece you love is always welcome: a link grants nothing, and the maker's own wishes about their work come first.
Claims are sized to what is knownWhat is shown as fact can be checked, what is opinion is held as opinion, and what is still forming is marked as forming.
A claim of fact can be traced to where it comes from. A belief or an opinion is welcome when it is offered as one. Nobody is quoted in words they did not say, and no one's likeness is made to say or do what they did not.
EVERYONE holds itself to the same rule: its pages mark what is working today and what is still forming, and it describes nothing as working before it works.
Nobody's attention, data or work is takenAnyone can benefit from what is here and leave without penalty, taking what they gave with them.
The test is simple and strict: could someone benefit from what is here and then leave without penalty? Joining is free. Your words and your work stay yours. Your data is never sold and never used for advertising. You can take your record, your identity and the people who chose to follow your work with you.
The same test applies to what people bring. Schemes that pay for recruiting, gather up people's contacts, sell access to their attention or lock them in sit outside the network.
Everyone can be heard; showing is decidedAnyone can say what they think about anything here, through E1 and through reactions. What is shown to everyone is decided by people who answer for each decision.
Everyone gets to voice an opinion, and not everyone gets to decide. Views are kept as they were said and read by the people deciding, and they are weighed by what they say.
Views are not always shown to everyone. They reach the people deciding through E1 and through the reactions on each page, so a voice counts for what it says, and the loudest or most organized voices cannot take a conversation over. How views are gathered is described under How you are heard.
Every decision leaves a record, and can be questionedEach decision says what was decided, by whom, when and why, and anyone affected can ask for it to be looked at again.
Every decision about what appears is recorded with what was decided, who decided, when, which guardrail it answers to and the reason in plain words. The record is kept and added to, and is never rewritten.
Anyone a decision affects is told, and can ask for it to be looked at again. See Records and Appeals.
The guardrails grow through open deliberationThey change through the same deliberation as the alignment campaign: refined for clarity, never relaxed, and every version kept.
The guardrails are worked out in the open, with everyone's voice in it and with people from many disciplines asked whether they work. A change has to serve their original intent more faithfully than the words it replaces. The protections in What is never accepted can be refined and made clearer; they are never relaxed.
Every version is kept, dated, with the reason for the change. How a change happens is set out under How the guardrails change.
The specifics
What is never accepted, what belongs here, who decides, how you are heard, and how all of it changes.
What is never acceptedThe floor every network needs: nothing that harms children, threatens or harasses people, deceives, impersonates, exposes private lives, takes others' work, or manipulates.
These hold everywhere on EVERYONE: in rooms, in channels, in calls, in reactions, in messages and in what you ask an agent to do. They are part of the Terms.
- Anything that sexualizes a child, or puts a child at risk. Material of this kind is removed at once and reported as the law requires, and the account is closed.
- Intimate images of anyone shared without their consent, real or made with AI. They are removed within 48 hours of a valid request, together with every copy EVERYONE knows of.
- Threats, and encouraging violence against any person or group, and support for groups that use violence against people.
- Harassment: targeting a person with abuse, piling on, unwanted contact after being asked to stop, and sharing someone's private information to expose or hurt them.
- Contempt for people for who they are: attacking or dehumanizing people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, faith, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or politics. Arguing with an idea, a belief or a policy belongs here; degrading the people who hold it does not.
- Encouraging self-harm, or instructions for it. Talking about pain, honestly, is welcome; a person who speaks of being at risk is pointed to help.
- Fraud, scams and deception: false offers, fake appeals for money, schemes that pay for recruiting, and claims of fact made up to mislead.
- Impersonation: presenting yourself as someone you are not, or making a real person appear to say or do what they did not.
- Private information: someone else's address, contact details, documents, health or finances, or a recognizable person shown without their agreement where they had reason to expect privacy.
- Taking others' work: bringing what you did not make and have no right to share, or removing a maker's credit.
- Spam and manipulation: automated or fake accounts, coordinated campaigns to push or bury something, flooding, and misleading links.
- Attacks on the network: breaking in, probing for weaknesses, scraping, malware, and getting around the limits that keep it working for everyone.
- Anything unlawful where you are or where EVERYONE operates.
Discussing any of these subjects (reporting on violence, telling the story of an abuse survived, studying hate in order to answer it) is different from doing them, and is judged by what it does.
What belongs here, beyond the floorFive things specific to EVERYONE: credit and provenance, honest claims, nothing taken, your words and audience kept yours, and the network's own voice held to its guardrails.
Credit and provenance
Bring what you made, or hold the rights to share, and name everyone who made it. Say honestly whether AI helped make it. A real person shown as themselves is filmed or photographed, never generated. Pointing to someone else's public work is welcome as a link, and the maker's own wishes about it come first.
Honest claims
A claim of fact can say where it comes from, and a claim made up to mislead is declined. A quote is the speaker's exact words, with where they said them. Nobody is credited with a line they did not say, by a person or by an agent. Promises of results, health or money that cannot be backed up are declined.
Nothing taken
No paying or charging for recruiting, no gathering up other people's contacts or lists, no selling access to the people who gather around a piece, and no paid placement passed off as anything else. Anything involving money comes with its own written terms.
Your words and your audience stay yours
What a person says is theirs. Quoting another member outside the place they said it needs their agreement. The people who choose to stay in touch with a maker belong to that relationship, and nobody may copy or use that list but the maker.
The voice of the network
What EVERYONE says in its own name, and what it features on its own channel and pages, is held to the nine guardrails EVERYONE holds itself to: everyone means actual everyone; win-win, truly; interconnection as structural fact; agency; emergence; effectiveness over rightness; never extract, never control; preserve complexity; intellectual honesty. Members' own pieces, in their own voice, answer to the floor and to the place they are shown, and are never rewritten.
Where things show, and who choosesEach place has its own bar: your own room is yours, a channel is its owner's, a call is its stewards', and EVERYONE's own channel and public pages are chosen by the core team.

On EVERYONE's own channel, in the calls and on the public pages, nothing a member brings is shown before a person has approved it. In a channel's home or an organization's home, a piece someone brings with their consent shows to the people that home is open to, and its owner and the core team can take it down. Each place keeps a record of what it approved, declined or took down, and why.
Who decides nowFormingThe core team decides today, with stewards for each place and agents reading first. A deputized group is forming to help decide, never alone.
The core team
Today the core team of EVERYONE LLC holds final decisions on what appears and on the guardrails themselves, and answers for them. Holding them this closely keeps them coherent while everything is young; the direction is outward, and every change of hands is recorded.
Stewards
A steward is a person the core team names to look after one place: a call, a channel, a living work, EVERYONE's own channel. An author decides what joins their living work; a channel's owner decides what is on their channel. Stewards decide within the guardrails, and every decision they make is recorded as theirs.
A deputized group to help decide
Forming A group of people from across the great divides (economists, spiritual leaders, philosophers, people who build communities, people who have watched good groups go wrong) is being invited and deputized to help decide. They will review hard cases, hear appeals and advise on every change to the guardrails. They help decide and never decide alone: the work stays deliberative and collaborative, and the core team answers for each final decision.
Forming How it comes to be: members are invited with their terms in writing; their names and the terms of their role are published here once they agree; the group's name is chosen with them. Until then, this section describes the role and names no one.
Agents
Agents read first and never decide alone. Before anything is shown, agents read it against the guardrails (for rights, for safety and for fit) and return their reasons in plain words, so a person decides with everything in front of them. An agent may hold something back for a person to look at; only a person declines it, removes it or closes an account.
Forming The agents that read for rights, safety and fit are designed and being built. Today a person reads every piece.
How you are heardFormingSay what you think through E1 or Share your view on any section. Every view is kept as you said it, read by the people deciding, and weighed with the others.
Through E1. E1 is on every page. Tell it what you think of a guardrail, a decision or a section, and it helps you put it into words. Everything said to E1 is kept, with the page and section you were reading.
Share your view. Each section of these pages takes a view: this holds, this needs to change, a nuance, a question, or wording you propose. A view is kept with your name, the section, the date and a fingerprint of the exact words of the section you answered, so it always answers to the version you read. Views on other pages of the network work the same way: agree, disagree, add a nuance, give an example, or say it in your own words.
Who reads it. The core team reads every view, and the deputized group will too once it is formed. Agents help gather many views into the lines they share and the places they differ, and each summary stays a proposal beside the words it summarizes, so nothing anyone said is lost in it.
Who sees it. Your own views are always visible to you. Views are not shown to other readers, so that each counts for what it says, and nobody can be piled on for theirs.
Forming A public account of what people said about the guardrails, in summary and without names, is designed and will be published here regularly.
When something is declined or removedYou are told what was decided, which guardrail it answers to, why, and how to ask again. The response is the lightest one that protects.
When something you brought is declined, shown to fewer people or removed, or something you did leads to a limit on your account, you are told in writing: what was decided, which part of these guardrails or the Terms it answers to, why, in plain words, and how to ask for it to be looked at again. The only exceptions are where the law forbids telling you, or telling you would put someone in danger.
The possible responses, from the lightest:
- asking you to change something, or to add credit or context;
- showing a piece to fewer people, or only as a link;
- declining a piece, or removing it;
- pausing what you can do for a time;
- closing an account, for the most serious harm or for repeated breaches after warnings.
Where a child is at risk or someone faces serious and immediate harm, EVERYONE removes first and reports as the law requires.
AppealsFormingAnyone a decision affects can ask for it to be looked at again, and gets an answer in writing.
Ask through E1, by replying to the decision, or by writing to core@everyone.team, within six months of the decision. Say what you think was wrong. You can add anything you want considered.
The appeal is reviewed by someone other than the person who made the decision wherever that is possible, with everything that was in front of them and what you added. You receive an answer in writing with its reasons. A decision that is changed is recorded as changed, with the earlier one kept.
Forming Once the deputized group is formed, an appeal can go to it, and its answer is recorded beside the core team's.
Appeals are free, and asking never counts against you.
Records of decisionsFormingEvery decision is recorded with what, who, when, which guardrail and why, in a record that is only ever added to.
Each decision about what appears is recorded with: what was decided, about which piece or act; who decided, by name or role; when; which guardrail or term it answers to; the reason, as told to the person; and any appeal and its outcome. The record is only ever added to. A corrected decision is a new record pointing to the one it corrects.
Decisions about pieces carry a proof: a stamp that lets anyone holding the record check it existed at that moment, unchanged. Identity, data and credit explains what a proof is.
Forming Proofs for content approvals are designed; proofs for agreements and invitations are issued today.
The record holds no more about a person than the decision needs.
How the guardrails changeFormingAnyone can propose a change; proposals are deliberated in the open as part of the alignment campaign; a change is dated, explained and announced before it applies.
Proposing. Anyone can propose a change, through Share your view on any section of this page or through E1.
Deliberating. Proposals are gathered and worked through as part of The Human Alignment Experiment: the same process of finding what we share, with views kept, gathered into lines that can be tested against what people said, and questions from people of many disciplines about whether each guardrail works in practice.
Deciding. The core team decides, with the deputized group advising once it is formed. A change has to serve the original intent more faithfully than the words it replaces. The floor can be refined and made clearer, and is never relaxed.
Recording and announcing. Each version is kept, dated, with what changed and why. A change that affects what people may bring or do is announced here at least 30 days before it applies, except where the law or someone's safety needs it sooner.

Law, safety and requests from authoritiesWith counselWhere the law requires a removal or a report, EVERYONE follows the law, gives only what it requires, and tells the person unless it may not.
Where the law requires EVERYONE to remove something, keep something or report something, it does. It reports child sexual abuse material to the authorities the law names.
When an authority asks for information about a person, EVERYONE checks that the request is lawful, gives only what the law requires, and tells the person before it does, unless the law forbids it or someone's safety depends on silence.
When the law of one place and these guardrails differ, the stricter protection for the people involved applies wherever EVERYONE can apply it.
