EVERYONE
The EVERY1 mark A case for belief, and the team forming around it

There's a game being played. Everywhere. All the time. By everyone. It may look like we're losing. But if we play together, we can still win.

What we believe is possible, suddenly is.
I want to believe. Count me in.

The EVERY1 mark as a monumental public sculpture at a city intersection
The mark reads as a 1. Look again and the space inside it spells EVERYONE.
Where we are

We are at a threshold.

Thirteen point eight billion years since the beginning. Three point eight billion since life. Three hundred thousand since us. Ten thousand since agriculture, two hundred since industry, thirty since the internet. Now.

Each transition has compressed the one before it. Whatever has been happening here is happening faster, and the pace of change has closed to decades, then years, then months.

And we may be the first species that can recognize its own patterns, imagine a different outcome, and choose to act on it. No virus writes books about viral overgrowth. No bacteria holds conferences on sustainability. We do. That is unprecedented, and it is recent.

Why now

The bottleneck is not knowledge.

The crises we can name are converging rather than queuing. Climate instability drives migration, which strains political systems, which erodes trust, which makes coordination harder, which accelerates the decline. Pull one thread and six others tighten.

And yet. There are cataloged, scalable solutions to climate change, already in hand. We grow enough food for ten billion people and waste a third of it. The cost of ending extreme poverty is a fraction of a percent of what the world produces in a year.

The resources exist. The solutions exist. The technology exists. What is missing is the shared belief that deploying them is possible.

Beneath the crises we can name is a quieter one: a collapse of belief that another future is possible. Most of us are not pessimistic because we are careless or uninformed. We are pessimistic because we are paying attention. And when honest extrapolation hardens into destiny, belief collapses first and action collapses after. The collapse becomes self-fulfilling.

A candle does not make a dark room bright. But it makes it not totally dark.

What the moment is asking for is not more information. It is a felt, undeniable experience that we are in this together, that the story is not finished, and that a better future is still possible. A refusal to reduce that possibility to zero.

I'm not asking you to believe this is likely. I'm asking you not to collapse probability to zero. The ask, in one sentence
What this is

One honest attempt at the work.

EVERYONE is one honest attempt at the work of bringing the human team into alignment. Not the answer, and not the only ones trying. A contribution to it, in a long line of people who have seen the same thing.

What it attempts is to align us, not around a leader or a plan, but around a few things that are simply true: that we are one team; that we win only together, win-win-win, because win-lose is the slow way we all lose; that we are connected in fact, not sentiment; and that the abundance we act as if we lack is already here, unmet needs on one side and untapped resources on the other, waiting for us to believe it enough to connect them.

You belong to many teams. Your family. Your neighborhood. Your people. Your profession. The ones you chose and the ones you were born into. There is one team that includes all of them. The human team. And right now we are losing, mostly because we have forgotten we are one.

So EVERYONE starts with one question. Is it still possible that we figure this out together? Carefully, honestly, with full respect for the weight of the evidence against us: there are credible reasons to believe the answer is yes.

The work upstream

Aligning with each other comes first.

The crises we name, climate, inequality, war, division, and now aligning the intelligence we are building, all sit downstream of one: whether we can align with each other first. Human alignment is the work upstream of all of it.

That we do this with an AI in the room, in service, is a small proof of a larger one: the same tools can pull us apart or help us align. Here they follow the team.

One team, whether we feel it or not.

What it takes form as

One project, several front doors.

A book, a film, a channel, team wear, and a platform where the team finds itself. Each piece is whole on its own, and each one feeds the others.

The book
The case is here, whole, and you can read it now. Where it starts.
The film
An immersive film, about an hour, built for the Sphere, IMAX, domes and planetariums worldwide. The case felt in the chest before it is understood in the mind.
The channel
Short films made out of real conversations. How the case travels, and how the team finds itself.
Team wear
The mark, worn as a signal.
The platform
Where all of it, and all of us, come together.
The part that is easy to miss

The team already exists.

We are connected in fact, not sentiment. Flows, feedback loops, and consequences that cross every border. The loneliest thought, what difference can I make, I am just one person, turns out to be the most shared one there is. Which is the quiet joke of it: the aloneness it insists on is the illusion.

Counting in is one honest answer, and it adds your weight to what becomes possible.

This work is not about convincing people of answers. It is about helping them notice the water. From the case
Who it is for

Everyone. Literally.

This is the hardest constraint and the most important one. When we say EVERYONE, we mean every human being. Every belief system. Every political orientation. Every economic class. Every nation. Every culture.

This is not aspirational. It is structural necessity. Climate change cannot be solved by one nation. AI alignment cannot be solved by one ideology. Nuclear risk cannot be solved by one political party. These challenges require actual, functional coordination across the entire human species.

So the language cannot signal tribal affiliation. The framing cannot assume liberal or conservative audiences. The vision cannot position any group as the enemy. It has to land with a fundamentalist Christian in rural Alabama and an atheist progressive in Brooklyn. If it cannot, it needs revision.

That is the constraint that makes the work hard. Every instinct in modern communication pushes toward segmentation. But this work is not about reaching an audience. It is about reaching humanity.

How this stays honest

Nothing here claims something before it is real.

We use evidence where it exists and name the mystery where it does not. The crisis is severe, and a thriving future is still possible. Both are held at once. The direction is clear; how we get there is up to all of us. Credibility is the whole foundation, so nothing here claims a number, a benefit, or a certainty before it is real.

The book is built to be tested. Every claim in it was built to be broken, and each argument is opened with its own strongest objection. If you can break an argument, break it. That is not a threat to the book. It is the invitation.

What is here now: a formed company. A live book. E1, answering now. A brand, and a founding round underway. The foundation is here, and the rest is being built with the team.

What is not: a single released short film, a frame of the immersive film, a shipped jersey. Those are in development, and every page here says so rather than implying otherwise.

The probability may be small. It is not zero. And in a world where giving up guarantees the worst outcome, not zero is everything.

everyone.team · A case for belief, and the team forming around it.

EVERYONE means every 1. There is no sideline. You are already playing. The only question is how.

The channel

What would it look like to tell a different story about the future?

Almost every film, series and story about the future is a version of the same thing: collapse, control, survival. This is the conversation about what else is possible.

Name five futures that work

Name five dystopian futures. They come instantly. Name five thriving futures. Most of us cannot name one.

We consume hundreds of hours of collapse every year. We rehearse it in our films, our series, our games, our feeds, until it lives in our nervous systems.

Some say there is no story without dystopia. That thriving futures are boring, undramatic, naive. That conflict requires catastrophe. Maybe. Or maybe we just have not figured out how to tell those stories yet, and what looks like a law of storytelling is a failure of imagination.

If you had sixty seconds and a million viewers, what truth would you show them?

Nothing is scripted

Two of us talk. Nobody has a script, nobody is performing, and the conversation runs as long as it runs. Somewhere in it, one of us notices something that was already true, or, already knowing it, finally finds the words for it.

That moment becomes a short film. Nothing is ever put in anyone's mouth. Where one of these shows a person saying something, they said it.

Not a lecture. Not a public service announcement. The bar is whether something actually moves in you, rather than whether you agree.

Honestly, where this stands

Nothing has been released yet. There are scripts, briefs, one working prototype, and a great deal of material ready to become short films. Not one has been made.

That is weeks of work rather than years, and this page will say something different when it is true.

Work with real edge that points toward breakthrough instead of breakdown.

EVERYONE: A Case for Belief

Why the human team can still win.

by Zak Zaidman · the Living Edition · available now as an epub

EVERYONE: A Case for Belief

We have rehearsed collapse so vividly, in a thousand beautiful dystopias, that we have begun to treat it as inevitable.

But it is not written. What the future becomes depends on what we do, and what we do depends on what we believe is possible. This is a case for belief, not as a feeling but as a lever, the one crisis we can actually move. A halftime speech for the human team.

I'm not asking you to believe this is likely. I'm asking you not to collapse probability to zero. From the book

What it sets out to do

It starts where you are. Tired. Skeptical. Carrying the weight of everything you see happening in the world. The book meets you there. It does not look away from any of it.

Then it shows you something you have not seen before. A case that builds, argument by argument, drawing from biology, history, physics, and the deepest patterns of how life actually works, until something shifts.

Your doubt is welcome here. The book's most powerful chapter is the one that challenges its own conclusions. Bring your hardest questions. They make the case stronger.

You close it holding something new. A reason to believe that feels like yours. Because it was earned, not given.

Four parts, one arc

OneThe Weight

The evidence for despair, met head-on. The collapse of belief, and the loop that makes it self-fulfilling.

TwoThe Lever

Belief as mechanism. The wager. Technology as amplifier. Why we already have everything we need.

ThreeThe Reframe

Life expands. Consciousness participates. Evolution accelerates through cooperation. The deeper pattern underneath.

FourThe Honest Reckoning

What we got wrong. Why we play anyway. The invitation. It is your move.

The opening pages

Many times I have thought to give up. Not on life, not at all, but on humanity. How can I close my eyes to all the incalculable suffering caused by humans?

I used to say I believe. Now I say I want to believe.

Why it is open

Complete, and not finished. The argument is whole. What is missing is your life. The 2am doomscroll. The stranger who helped when no one had to. The morning you almost gave up and then did not.

Those moments are where the theory lives or dies, and they are the scenes only you could have written, because only you have lived your life. So later editions take in your stories, your evidence, your counterarguments. Reading it is the first move. Adding to it is the next.

And a second book

The most beautiful team in the world, in one book. A collectible art book of the team every person is already on, made by the team itself. People from every corner of the world, each with a few plain words in their own voice. In a world filling with generated faces, a book of real ones.

A curated collection rather than a directory: the images where you feel, in a single glance, that we are one team. The bar is the point. No one could make this book. Only everyone could.

The immersive film

EVERYONE: The Story of Us

About an hour. Five movements. You walk out oriented differently than when you walked in.

A vast audience seated under a full sky of stars
Built for domes, planetariums and immersive venues. In development.

What it is

The story of us. From before the beginning, through everything we have become. From the smallest building blocks of existence to the edges of everything. From the deepest heartbreak of what we face to the most alive sense of what we can still become.

The Story of Us. You enter as one person and leave as another. The case felt in the chest before it is understood in the mind, designed to produce one thing: a reorientation, from inevitability to possibility, from separation to recognition, from resignation to participation.

What happens to you

It begins by meeting you where you already are. The weight you carry, named in a breath, so you know you are seen and not being sold to.

Then it lifts you out of it. Past the room, the planet, the last galaxy, to the edge that is not there. And back in, past the cells, the atoms, into the field the particles are made of, the edge that is not there either. You are not in the universe. You are the universe, shaped like this, for now. What if that is not poetry. What if that is just true.

Then it lets you feel time quicken. Hydrogen, stars, planets, cells, sight, thought, you. Billions of years, then millions, then thousands, then decades. Whatever has been happening here is happening faster, and you are standing at the edge of the next thing. Not told. Felt, in the body and the room.

Then the turn. The same edgeless existence narrows down and down until it is a single pair of eyes looking back at you. Thousands of real faces, human and animal, eyes fixed in one place, each snapping to the next, sameness and difference at once, the brain unable to hold both. If there is no separation anywhere out there, there is none here either. You are each other. The one you love, the stranger, even the one you were taught to fear. Same eyes. Once seen, it cannot be unseen.

Then the honest reckoning. It names the weight fully now, the scoreboard that says we are losing, and it refuses to end there. Belief is not a wish that powerful systems shrug off. It is the refusal to collapse what is possible to zero. And the next leap in the whole chain, from physics to chemistry to life to us, is the first one that will only happen if we choose it.

Then the invitation. Not a demand, not a conversion, not a promise it will work. Something in you might still want to try. That is enough to begin. The mark resolves out of the many.

You walk out oriented differently than you walked in.

Five movements

IExpansion

The cosmos opens you. Out past the last galaxy, in past the last particle, into the field. No edge anywhere. Then time quickens, and you are standing at the edge of the next thing.

IIWeight

The honest reckoning. It names what you carry, and the scoreboard that says we are losing. It does not rush you past it, and it refuses to end there.

IIIRecognition

The hinge, where the cosmic becomes relational. Thousands of real faces, eyes fixed, everything else moving. You are not in the universe watching it. You are each other. Many and one at the same time.

IVMove

The answer to what you actually do on Monday. Belief is not a wish that powerful systems shrug off. It is the refusal to collapse what is possible to zero.

VInvitation

Not a demand, not a conversion, not a promise. Something in you might still want to try. That is enough to begin.

How it is built

The room is part of it. Imagery, voice, music and sound design working as one continuous experience.

The visuals move across every scale without a cut you can point to: the structures beneath matter, a single breath, galaxies forming. Those transitions feel like zooming in and out of one continuous reality, because that is what they are.

The faces are real. Submitted by the team, not generated. In a work about humanity, a real face carries weight that a made one cannot.

The room watches together. The scientist and the mystic sit under the same dome, both are moved, and neither is asked to convert.

The score and the room are structural. A 40Hz floor and haptics put the hour in your body, and in the body of everyone sitting near you. You feel the room feeling it.

What counts as success

I still don't know if this will work, but I can no longer say it is impossible. The skeptic, walking out. That is enough.

Not conversion. The humility is the moat. It never demands, never promises, and holds itself lightly. That is precisely what lets it be for everyone, and what keeps something this powerful from ever hardening into a message.

Where it stands

Nothing has been shot. The treatment, the five movements, the visual language and the sound design are developed. Not a frame exists yet.

It is being built in the open rather than disappearing for years and arriving finished. This page will say something different when that changes.

In development. Nothing has been shot, no venue is signed, and there is no release date. Everything above is what it is being built to be.

The team

There are no tryouts. Just belief.

You are already on this team. Counting in is how you say so out loud, and how the rest of the team can find you.

What counting in actually does

Count in. That is the whole door. A number, a mark, and a link that is yours. It asks nothing up front, and it adds your weight to what becomes possible.

Nothing is charged, and you are not signing up for messages you did not ask for. It is a way of saying I want to believe out loud, and of being findable by the rest of the team later, when the team can be useful to you.

Everything else here is on a sliding scale that includes zero, so nobody is priced out. The team funds the team.

Team wear · founding edition

Wear the belief where people can see it.

The EVERY1 jersey

Not a brand. Not a slogan. A signal to yourself, your family, your community, and everyone you pass on the street: I believe we can still win this. But only together.

$85 Sliding scale, $50 to $120 · S M L XL

Pre-order holds your founding edition. It ships when the first edition is ready. If even the floor is too much right now, there is a path, and you can ask.

One jersey is a statement. A hundred is a signal. A million is impossible to ignore. Every person who wears this makes it easier for the next person to believe.

Four things it says

01

To yourself: that you are not giving up. That you refuse the story that says the future is already lost.

02

To your family: that you believe in the world they will inherit, and that you are doing something about it.

03

To your community: that someone near them still believes in what is possible when people stand together.

04

To everyone you pass on the street: that someone said it out loud. That this team is real, and it is growing.

The mark

At first glance it is a 1. The individual. The isolated self. Look again, and the negative space becomes legible: the word EVERYONE, revealed not by adding anything, but by seeing what was already there.

Once seen, it cannot be unseen. That irreversibility is the point. The mark compresses the whole premise into a single visual moment: you are one, you are also everyone, both are true, and recognizing that changes what becomes possible.

You can root for your country, your city, your side. This sits beneath those loyalties rather than replacing them.

There are two games, and a whole player plays both. On the field, I use everything I have to win over you. That is the game, and it is a good game. Play it fully. When the game is over, I turn that same strength to win-win with you. Same might. A different game.

Which is why the crest of the team you love stays over the heart, and the mark goes on the sleeve. Compete like hell, then shake hands, and never forget the bigger game.

Where to go next

The case is in the book, and it is readable now. E1 will argue with you about any of it, honestly, and will tell you what is not built yet.
