Images of people can now be made from nothing, by the million. A face on a screen is no longer proof that anyone was ever there. That is exactly what makes a book of real, named, consenting humans rare, and worth keeping. Every face here is a person who chose to be counted, and the platform holds the proof of it: real provenance, not a synthetic likeness.
This is not a stand against the machines. The same technology that can invent a face can also help real ones reach each other, across distance and language. The point was never the tool. It was always the person on the other side of it.

The voice is first person and small: a real face, a few of their own true words, a name and a place. A few lines are set here to hold the tone; the bookend pages stay described while we write them. The images come from the team.

Pictures come in through the platform, and the rights come in with them, consent and credit recorded the moment each one is sent, tied to a person, kept on record. It is not anything goes. A few hands edit and design the pictures into one coherent book, so a book made by a great many people still reads as one.
